This is a solid flag pole. So much so that when someone was upset by my flag and ripped it off my house the pole and mount were just fine. My siding, not so much. But I'm doubling down and ordering another for the other side of my porch!

This flag pole is 1" diameter rod, which is stronger and better than the 3/4" pole I had before. Very good. And the flag attach devices with bearings so the flag won't wrap around the pole in the wind were excellent! I only wish it had something a wee bit more elegant at the top, like an eagle or something better than just a round ball. But the ball will suffice.

Ordered black. Comes with screws to tighten pole into holder so will not blow away in the wind. Would suggest the 6 ft vs the 5 ft length for a 3X5 flag.

2 flagpoles (both homemade/wood) and 3 flags needed replacing due to being outdoors in direct sunlight year round for 2+ years. Found these carbon fiber units, ordered 1 to start with then, after receiving it and being duly impressed, I immediately ordered a second along with 2 additional spinners. Both poles are 6', one flies a
3"x5" Stars and Bars, the 2nd flies the state flag of Wisconsin and a Wounded Warriors flag, both 2"x3".
Love them both. Buy them, you'll be glad you did!
P.S., tried to attach a photo but anybody's guess if it gets thru on my pathetic satellite internet service.

After browsing what seemed like hundreds of flag poles I settled on these. I needed something sturdy to hold up to 75 mph without bending. I had gotten by in years past by putting steel rebar into a regular flag pole but it was a pain and rusted. So far, these poles have held up to regular in town driving as well as highway driving without bending.

However, I'm an old woman who has issues with screwdrivers and the like requiring over the hard usage. If this isn't a problem for you - cool beans. Once installed, it takes a flag like white takes to rice. Haven't had a major wind-storm yet, so can't swear to durability with great accuracy.

I purchased two and after getting them and getting them installed, I was very impressed. Most other pole sets I looked at were only 5 foot long, like what I was replacing. Saw these were 6 foot and decided to give them a try. Well worth the money. You wouldn't think the extra foot would make much of a difference but it does when comes to the flag not getting tangled on the house gutter. Plus the swivel system on these moves much easier and smoother. I am very pleased with this purchase.
